I discovered the Internet in the mid 1990s. Learned how to webmaster sites. It was quite common to combine words like that.
OK fine, BUT…
¶ Are you a Wizard?
Fair question. Let's tackle this situation right from the get go.
- YES, I am a pinball wizard. Playing since I was in grade school at the Hotel that had the nickel pinball machines that you had to push 1 plunger to get the ball up to the other plunger to launch it into play. I am quite good, setting many records on machines across the nation, winning many games, playing some of the best pinball players (Glen & Eugene come to mind. They were very strong players and we were evenly matched). It's not bragging if it's true, right?
- I was Marco the Magnificent (a magician) in the high school play ‘Carnival.’ To this day, I am an amateur magician. In the Navy I met a dude who had done some professional magic shows who taught me many secrets. I sold books for awhile early in life where I would put on a magic show at preschools, send the kiddos home with a survey. One time after making a few items disappear I jokingly said, “Boy, I hope I don't mess that trick up and accidentally make Ms. IForgetHerName disappear. Oh my! One young lad screamed at the top of his lungs ”Please don't!" haha Needless to say, I took that line out of the show… Although I am quite rusty today, I used to amaze people with a variety of tricks including sponge ball items, cards, silks and my favorite - the coin tricks.
- Wizard was my CB handle.
- Am I a sorcerer, wizard, warlock or any other term relating to chanting spells, making potions to control people and things? Nope! Can people practice divination, sorcery, witchcraft, interpreting omens, sorcery, casting spells, mediumship, spiritism, necromancy? Those things and others are mentioned in the Bible, so I have to say YES they can. I think a lot of those people are unknowingly or knowingly dealing with principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.
- Once I purchased a large (12"x18"x3") hardback Book of Magic at a thrift store dated early 1900s thinking it was a magician's book. Come to find out, it had spells, chants, diagrams, recipes to control people, animals, inanimate objects, the weather and much more. I burned it so I would not be tempted to or accidentally call up demon and to ensure it would not end up back in the world to tempt others.
- I do totally enjoy fictional witches and wizards. Gandalf is one of my all time fictional characters. My FaceBook header…
Ordinary folk like you! and me! can keep evil in check. I will be doing a study on this, but here's a quick preview.
- Neither you or I can confront evil beings, UNLESS we do it in JESUS' name. That's how angels did it in the Bible and that's how we should do it.
- There is a spiritual war that has been going on since before man was created.
