The Name of Jesus is the revealed identity and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ.
There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow.
His people pray, baptize, heal, and suffer in that name, because the name is the Person.
In Scripture a name is not a label only. It is the person made known. The angel told Joseph to call His name Jesus, for He would save His people from their sins. After the resurrection the apostles did not preach a memory. They preached a living Lord and acted in His name. Peter said to the lame man, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” When the council demanded by what power or name they had done this, Peter answered that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom they crucified and whom God raised from the dead, this man was well. There is salvation in no one else. The church baptized in the name of Jesus. They gathered, taught, and suffered for the name. Unclean spirits were commanded to come out in the name of Jesus Christ. The name is therefore the focal point of faith, worship, mission, and hope. To call on the name of the Lord is to call on Jesus. To deny the name is to deny the Lord.

There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. The name of Jesus is not a formula to be used and set down. It is the Lord Himself, present in power, salvation, and authority. Call on that name. Pray in that name. Do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. Do not deny it when it costs. At that name every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. The name that saves is the name that is above every name. Run into it. Speak it. Live under it. There is no safer place and no other Savior.
