Creating wiki pages
Add a link to existing page method
I like this method, since there will never be orphaned pages. (Those that are not linked to from another page.)
- Find a page to link from.
- Click the "Edit this page" button.
- Add a link to your knew page.
- Click the "Edit this page" button.
- Surround the title of your page with 2 sets of parenthesis.
- Example
- ((This is a New Page))
- Example
- Save the page
- Your link will end with a question mark to indicate a new page.
- The question mark is a link to the Wiki page editor for that page. ***NOTE: After the new page is saved, the question mark is replaced from the original page and your page title will be linked to your new page.
- Your link will end with a question mark to indicate a new page.
- Click the Question Mark
- You will be in the editor for your new page.
- When finished click Save.
- You will be in the editor for your new page.
Quick Edit a Wiki Page
At the top right is the Quick Edit a Wiki Page.- Enter the name of the page you would like to create
- Click the "Create/Edit" button
- If a page already uses your title you will already see text in the editor box.
- You might want to use this existing page, or try a different title.
- Click the "Create/Edit" button
- Edit and save your page.
- NOTE: it is not linked anywhere.
- The only way people will find your page is in search results.
- You probably should find a page to link to your new page from.
- Find the desired page.
- Click "Edit this page."
- Add your page surrounded by 2 sets of parenthesis
- Example: ((This is a New Page))
- Click save.
- NOTE: if you see a Question Mark after your page title, you might have mistyped it.
