The Sacred Writings are the Holy Scriptures Timothy had known from childhood.

Continue in what you have learned. Do not trade the sacred writings for newer secrets.
Read them as books that bear witness about Christ. Come to Him and have life.
Teach them to your children. Examine them daily. The man of God is made complete by this word, equipped for every good work.
