James the son of Alphaeus was one of the Twelve apostles chosen by Jesus.
He is named in every New Testament list of the Twelve and is distinct from James the son of Zebedee and from James the brother of the Lord.

It needs the foundation that Christ laid through the men He chose. James the son of Alphaeus stands in that foundation. Follow the same Lord who called him. Be faithful in the place you are given. The names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb are written where they cannot be erased.
